The Sali Hughes Sweatshirt for Sarcoma UK
The Sali Hughes Sweatshirt for Sarcoma UK
This is an update on the original hand embroidered design. Each sweatshirt is machine embroidered by Lisa on a design based on her handwriting.
Journalist, writer and broadcaster Sali Hughes designed this ‘Lipstick, Literature, Liberalism’ sweatshirt in memory of her dear friend Carey Lander “a literature-obsessed liberal who turned lipstick wearing into an art form.”
Carey, they keyboard player and vocalist for Camera Obscura, died from osteosarcoma - a rare type of bone cancer - in 2015. The sale of each sweatshirt includes a £10 donation to Sarcoma UK in her name.
